Match Report: Team 42

Time is flying, and the girls teamwork, confidence and on-court cohesion continue to grow each week. Team 42 recorded an impressive 29–12 win over the Venetians, who recently moved up from Division 2. While the Venetians provided strong defensive pressure in the goal circle, Carine’s excellent midcourt and goal circle strategies proved the difference. Player of the week was awarded to Skylar Doyle for her ever improving mid court attacking. Next round we look forward to another Carine Derby, this time playing Carine team 44 who have recently moved up to Div 1. It has been fantastic to see so many players successfully trial new positions throughout games, with a strong focus on developing broad netball skills rather than position permanence. Training sessions are currently centred around scratch matches against the U12s, providing valuable opportunities for the girls to apply and refine their skills in a game-like environment.
