How to Register Your Team

Something Different This Spring

WDNA is seeking Expressions of Interest for Mixed 15U, 21U and Walking Netball competitions.

If you're interested in entering a team in any of these competitions, please contact the Carine Registrar.

Teams

Teams must nominate with a minimum of 9 players. Carine does not place individual players into Spring teams.

Training

There is typically no training during the Spring season. Carine does not hire training courts for Spring teams, so teams wishing to train will need to make their own arrangements.

Umpiring

Each team is responsible for providing its own qualified umpire for every game and paying the umpire directly.

Umpire fees are generally between $20 and $35 per game, depending on the age group.

Carine has a small number of umpires who may be available for some age groups. Availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Uniforms

All players must wear the official Carine Netball Club uniform.

Uniforms can be purchased through Mecca Sports Joondalup from 25 August to 6 September 2026. This is the final uniform ordering period for the year.

Team Responsibilities

Carine will manage team registration with WDNA and provide each team with a Spring kit.

Each team is responsible for:

• nominating a Team Contact (Coach/Manager)

• providing and paying its own umpire

• organising any training it chooses to undertake

• paying any fines incurred by the team during the competition.

1. Get your team together

Gather a minimum of 9 players who would like to play together.

2. Nominate your Team Contact

Choose one person to act as your Coach/Manager and main contact for Carine and WDNA.

Your Team Contact should email the Carine Registrar with your team nomination.

They will then receive a team form requesting player names, contact details and previous playing history.

3. Complete individual registrations

Once the completed team form has been returned, registration links will be provided directly to each player.

Every player must complete and pay their registration by Saturday 5 September.

Important: If all players have not registered and paid by the closing date, the entire team will be withdrawn.

If using a KidSport voucher, it must be used when completing registration. Refunds cannot be provided for vouchers received after registration has been completed.

4. Team placement

There is no grading for Spring Netball.

Carine will work with WDNA to place teams in the most appropriate division based on the team's previous Winter competition experience.

Mixed Netball | 15U

Female players can play in both their regular 15U competition and Mixed Netball.

Male players turning 12 in 2026 are eligible to participate without a permit.

A maximum of three male players may be on court at one time, with a minimum of two. Only one male player can play within each third of the court.

21U Netball

A great option for players moving beyond 18U who aren't quite ready to make the jump to Opens.

The competition is available to players aged between 16 and 21 without requiring a permit.

Walking Netball

Netball at a different pace.

Walking Netball offers a more accessible way to enjoy the game and is open to players turning 15 and over without requiring a permit.

Teams must provide a competent umpire familiar with the modified Walking Netball rules. WDNA will provide the rules to registered teams.
