Final score: Annie’s 06 def. Team 27 - 41–24

Team 27 stepped onto the court for their first full outing in Division 1 and delivered a performance that showed grit, composure, and real potential despite the scoreboard.

The girls opened strongly, matching Annie’s 06 goal for goal in a competitive first quarter. Defensive pressure was tight, transitions were clean, and the attacking circle found good rhythm early.

As the game wore on, Annie’s 06 applied sustained pressure and capitalised on turnovers, gradually pulling ahead. Team 27 fought hard through all four quarters.

The final scoreline of 41–24 doesn’t fully reflect the determination shown or the promising patches of play that will only strengthen as the team settles into Division 1 competition.

A tough result, but a strong foundation for the weeks ahead.

Shout out to Evie who was awarded the first Whitfords Brewing Co voucher for the year and Gia who was awarded the Domino's voucher this week.  Both players showed true grit and termination for all four quarters in spite of the end result.
