Match Report: Team 15

Team 15 from Carine Netball Club continued their outstanding season with a convincing 55–31 victory over Sorrento Saints Netball Club in the Division 3 competition on Court 13 at the Kingsway Netball Courts on a beautiful sunny day in Perth, with temperatures sitting comfortably in the mid-20s.

Coming into the match, Carine sat first on the ladder while Sorrento held third position, making this an important clash between two strong Division 3 sides. Carine started well in the opening quarter, moving the ball confidently through the court and converting opportunities in attack to take an early 10–7 lead.

The second quarter saw Carine lift the intensity even further. Strong defensive pressure created multiple turnovers, while accurate shooting and excellent teamwork allowed the lead to grow significantly. By half time, Carine had established a commanding 25–14 advantage.

Sorrento fought hard in the third quarter, but Carine maintained control with disciplined passing, strong defensive rebounding and consistent movement across the court. The team continued to build momentum and extended the lead to 39–22 heading into the final break.

In the last quarter, Carine finished strongly, maintaining high energy and composure to close out the game with an impressive 55–31 win. Every player contributed throughout the match, demonstrating excellent teamwork and determination.

The round also recognised Mental Health Awareness Week, with the Carine players proudly wearing blue armbands in support of raising awareness and encouraging positive conversations around mental health.

With this important Division 3 victory, Carine Team 15 remains firmly on top of the ladder and continues to set the standard for the competition this season.
