Match Report: Team 35

A crucial clash at the top of the ladder!

Round 11 saw our team take on Coastal Sparks, who were sitting 2nd on the ladder, making this an incredibly important game for our girls, who are sitting 1st on the ladder.

The conditions certainly weren’t on our side, with strong, tricky winds making things particularly challenging for our shooters. And just when we thought the weather couldn’t get any worse, we were hit with hail! The girls had to dig deep and play through some pretty wild conditions.

But what stood out most was how every single player stepped up and did exactly what was needed of them. There was determination, teamwork, resilience and plenty of encouragement across the court. No matter what the weather threw at them, the girls stayed focused, backed each other and continued to work hard right until the final whistle.

Taking on the team sitting 2nd made this a crucial game, and the girls rose to the occasion beautifully, coming away with a hard fought 10 point victory!

It was a fantastic team effort in incredibly challenging conditions, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they handled themselves, both on the court and in the weather.
