Match Report: Team 17

Round 12 saw us take on the top team, and once again, it was an incredibly close contest. We always seem to rise to the challenge when we play them, and this game was no different!

We came out firing from the first whistle, dominating the first two quarters and putting ourselves in a strong position. The girls were working hard, moving the ball beautifully and showing plenty of determination against a quality side.

Unfortunately, the third quarter didn’t go our way. With the weather extremely hot, the girls were running on empty and simply had nothing left in the tank. We struggled to regain our momentum, and despite giving it everything in the final quarter, we couldn’t quite pull it back.

In the end, we went down by just 4 goals, another incredibly tight battle against the competition’s top team.

While it’s disappointing to come so close once again, there are plenty of positives to take from the game. We know we can match them, and we’ll take the lessons from this one and get them at finals!
